School’s out for Spring Break?? Keep your kids busy and engaged with BMF’s VIRTUAL Songwriting Camp.
We miss camp! So we’ve taken all the things we love most about camp and all the things we’ve learned teaching lessons and classes online for the last year—and combined them to create the BEST VIRTUAL CAMP ever.
All the things you love about camp at BMF—songwriting, games, creativity & friends—but from home. Your child will be engaged, entertained and BUSY, making music and having fun.
- Flexible scheduling. Sign up for as much or as little camp as you want and need.
- No instruments at home? No problem! There are LOTS of ways to create and make music without instruments. Join us to learn how!
- For kids ages 6-10 (see below for more info!)

Spring Camp Details:
- Who: Kids ages 6-10
- What: School’s Out Songwriting Camp—Virtual Edition!
- When: Monday, March 29-Friday, April 2. Sign up for just one or two mornings, or all five. It’s up to you!
- Schedule: 9:30am-12:00pm (with a break from 10:30-11:00)
- Where: Online - Zoom
- Why: To connect and make some music together! (So parents can get a little work done.)
Spring Break Camp Group Options
This spring break, give yourself some time to get things done in the comfort of your own home, while we entertain your child all morning! Through the magic of games, we’ll be writing songs together, with a new song and a new theme daily! Sign up for as many mornings of the week as you need!
We are offering two options for kids ages 6-10:
Super Songwriters! (Ages 6-8; 8-10)
- NO instruments or prior experience necessary!
- Campers are grouped by age
Rock Write Record (Ages 8-10)
- Must be taking private lessons currently
- Must have an instrument at home
Through the magic of games, Super Songwriters and Rock Write Record camps will write a song a day! Each day will have a different theme for the kids to tackle.

Spring Break Camp FAQs
Where? Zoom-a-Zoom, Zoom, Zoom!
When? Mornings, Monday, March 29 through Friday, April 2
What’s the schedule? 9:30am-12:00pm, with a 30-minute break from 10:30-11am
Do I need to sign up for the whole week? Will my kid feel left out or behind if we do just 1 or 2 days? No way! Sign up for as many–or as few–days as you need. Each day of camp is a clean slate, with its own unique songwriting theme.
Do I need to be in the room with my kid to supervise during camp? Nope! We’ve got you. (Of course, if you’d rather take a break from work & check out the amazing creativity of your super songwriter, we understand and you’re most welcome!)
Will we get a recording of the kids’ original song? Of course!
How much does camp cost?
Super Songwriters: $250/week
Super Songwriters Day Pass: $60/day
Rock Write & Record Songwriting Band: $325/Week (note: there are only 5 spots in this camp band)
Is there a sibling discount? Yes! If you have 2 or more kids enrolling in camp, you’ll receive a 5% family discount.
I’m already enrolled in a band or private lessons at BMF. Do I get a discount?
Yes! We are offering a 5% discount off of camp to all current BMF members. And, if you have more than one member of the family enroll in camp, you will get both the sibling discount as well as the member discount...that’s 10% off camp tuition for your family!
I have a credit on file at BMF. Can I apply it toward spring camp? Absolutely!
How do you teach songwriting over Zoom? We’ve been teaching private lessons and bands online for almost a year now, and we’ve been BLOWN AWAY by the enthusiasm, dedication, and creativity of our amazing community of teachers and students. Kids will learn the fundamentals of songwriting (lyrics, melody, story, rhyme scheme, genre, rhythm, and more) through BMF’s always-fun, never-boring, game-based approach to music making.
