Teens love making and learning music at Brooklyn Music Factory because they are part of a community of inspiring students and supportive teachers. Students learn by playing the music they love and that motivates them—and by coming together several times a year to share and perform at our fun and supportive gigs. It’s a blast!
For students ages 12-17, we offer group band classes and private lessons. Some students do one or the other, some do both!
In Rock Write Record bands, kids ages 12 and older come together to write and record songs, collaborate musically, level up their musicianship, and learn the skills to play in a band. Students develop advanced music fluencies by playing games and writing songs together with their band. Because instruction in Rock Write Record bands focuses on songwriting, students must be taking private lessons on their instrument outside of band class. Experience required.
Teens LOVE making and learning music at Brooklyn Music Factory. Working one-on-one with our supportive and encouraging teachers, students develop instrument-specific skills, music fluency, and confidence. Lessons focus on popular music—rock, pop, jazz—and original songwriting, so students are playing the music they love. Plus, students in private lessons have regular opportunities to share and perform their music together at coffee houses and showcases. Private lessons are available on guitar, bass, drums, piano, and voice.
After the initial two-week trial period, you can cancel anytime before the end of the school year with 30 days’ notice. Once notice is given, you will be charged for the remaining classes scheduled in your final 30 days.
